There are many issues that will likely face the Waukesha County Board in the next term. Among those issues are a county wide sales tax as well as public safety policy with regard to the Sheriff’s Department.
These are key issues a Democrat supported candidate will not share the same values and decisions as the majority of voters in Waukesha County or New Berlin. New Berlin needs strong independent conservative representation on the County Board. In this election that candidate is Joseph O’Brien and The New Berlin Taxpayers Alliance is please to offer our endorsement.
Joe’s opponent, Joel Gaughan is supported by the Waukesha County Democrats. https://www.waukeshadems.org/vote
On issues of public safety and taxes, Democrats have not been on the side of taxpayers or citizens of Waukesha County and New Berlin. A county wide sales tax was proposed in 2025 and will likely surface again this next term. We need a true fiscal conservative on the county board who work to reduce spending increases so a county sales tax or property tax increase is not needed.
We also need a County Supervisor who will stand on the side of law and order. This includes making sure the Sheriff’s department is allowed to focus on its core mission AND cooperate with Federal Law Enforcement partners when it comes to illegal immigration enforcement.
For these reasons and others, NBTA is endorsing Joseph O’Brien on April 7th for County Board of Supervisors. Read more about Joe at: https://www.josephobrienforwaukeshacountyboard.com/
